06 Days Of Haridwar, Rishikesh and Mossoorie
Hello Friends. Uttrakhand is a state in Northern India and the state is also known as “Devabhumi”due to the large number of pilgrimage sites found throughout the state. Today, we are going to share a tour plan of the three most popular destination of this nature-rich stateof India- uttarakhand. The three destinations we would mention here are Haridwar, Rishikesh,and Mossoorie

Let’s start the
tour.Day-1,

Haridwar
On day-1 of your tour 1st reach Haridwar
fromyour home town. Haridwar is considered as one of the sevenholiest
cities in India. This ancient city is located on the banks of River
Ganga inthe Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
Haridwar can be
reached both by train or air.By train reach Haridwar junction station
first and from there take a cab to reach your hotel.The nearest
airport of Haridwar is Jolly Grant airport. It is around 40 Km away
from Haridwarand it will take almost 1 hour 15 mins to reach Haridwar
from Jolly Grant airport bycar. Upon reaching Haridwar check in to
your hotel.
In the evening go to visit Har ki Pauri ghat and
watch famous Ganga Arati there.Har ki Pauri is one of the most sacred
Ghats in Haridwar. It is a well-known landmark ofthe place. The place
is visited by devotees and visitor from all over the world and
seekthe blessings of Holy Ganga by offering their prayers.
Har Ki Paudi is the place where River
Ganga flowing through the Himalayas touches the plains for the first
time. In the evening Ganga Arati is performed here.Ganga Arati is a
religious prayer that takes places on the banks of sacred river
Gganga.The place looks most beautiful at this time.
Day-2,
On
day-2 morning, after breakfast, go to visit Manasa Devi temple.The
temple is located on top of a hill and is one of the most sacred
temples of Haridwar.The place is also known as Bilwa Tirtha as it is
situated on top of the Bilwa Parvator hill on the Shivalik hills.
This Temple is dedicated to goddess Manasa. The temple experiences a
large number of devotees’ every day.
You can enjoy a ropeway ride toreach
the top of the hill or can simply climb up the stair cases. The
surroundings of this temple needs a special mention. From there go to
visit Bilkeshwar Mahadev Temple, The temple is situated in the valley
of Bilwa Parvat near Har ki Pauri ghat. This templeis dedicated to
Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati. It is believed to be the place
where Goddess Parvati worshipped Lord Shiva and he accepted to make
her his wife.
From there go to visit Chandi Devi
Temple. Surrounded by lush greeneries and locatedon top of Neel
parvat, this beautiful temple is dedicated to Goddess Chandi. It is
one of the five pilgrimages of Haridwar. As the temple is situated on
top of Neel Parvat, it is also known as Neel Teertha.
From there go to visit Maya Devi
temple. It is one of the oldest temples of Haridwar built in 11th
century. The temple is dedicated toGoddess Maya, who according to
Hindu mythology is the Goddess of divine power. It is alsoone of the
three Shaktipeeth, as per legend, it is believed to be the place
where the heartand naval of Goddess Sati fell.
Day-3,
On
day-3 morning, 1st go to visit the Daksha Mahadev temple.The temple
is located in Kankhal in Haridwar. From there go to visit Ma
Anandamayi Ashram. Ma Anandamayi Ashram is a spiritual centre and
ashram dedicated to Ma Anandamayi whowas a prominent spiritual
personality.
Next go to visit Vaishno Devi temple of
Haridwar.It is a replica of Vaishno Devi temple of Kashmir. There
are tunnels and caves in thistemple which lead to the inner altar
where you can see the shrine of Goddess Vaishno Devi.
From
there go to visit Parad Shiva Linga. Parad Shivlinga is a unique
religious site inside Harihar Ashram in Haridwar. The placeis named
so as the Shivalinga or the sacred symbol of Lord Shiva worshipped
here is made with Parad which means Mercury.

Rishikesh
After visiting these temples of Kankhal
move towards Rishikesh. Situated along the convergence of Ganga and
Chandra bhaga River, Rishikesh is a beautiful place located on the
foothills of Himalayas. It is the place where you can enjoy scenic
beauty, tranquillity, some exotic spa andyoga treatment and at the
same time can experience some of the best adventure sports which will
surely give you some adrenalin rush. The road the leads to Rishikesh
from Haridwaris one of the most beautiful roads of India.
Upon
reaching Rishikesh first visit Ram Jhula. Ram Jhula is a suspension
bridge built in the year 1986. The bridge runs across the sacred
River Ganga and connects Shivananda Nagar to Swarg-ashram. The bridge
is 750 feetlong and is a purely engineering marvel. If you are an
adventure sport lover then youcan enjoy adventure sports like river
rafting and bunjee jumping here.
Next go to visit Lakshman Jhula. The
Lakshman Jhula is a famous hanging bridg eacross the river Ganga that
connects two villages, Tapovan and Jonk. It is located 5 kilometres
northeast of the Rishikesh town. The entire bridge is made up of
iron. The bridge is 450 feet long and 70 feet high from the river.
The Lakshman Jhula is the most popular tourist location of the
region.
From Lakshman Jhula go to Neel-kanth Mahadev Temple.
Neel-kanth Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Shivaas Neel-kanth is his
another name. It is a famous temple of the region and the surrounding
area of the temple is really beautiful.

Mussoorie
Day-4,
On
day-4 morning go to Mussoorie from Haridwar. Mussoorie is a beautiful
hilly town, commonly known as the “Queen of the Hills”. The town
is located 7000 feet above the sea level. Serene Hills, green
forests, snow covered Himalayan Mountain range are some of the
thingswhich you can enjoy here. Well-known for its pleasant weather,
Mussoorie can be visited any time from September to June. Upon
reaching Musoorie first check in to your hotel. After that, go to
vist Mall.
The Mussoorie-Mall is the most happening place of
the locality where you can find modern shops, video gameparlors, and
skating rinks. From there go to visit Mussoorie Lake. Itis an
artificial lake developed and maintained by the City Board and the
Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority. Enjoy boating here.
Day-5,
On day-5, go to the
nearby locations of Mussoorie city. First, visit Gun hill. Gun Hill
is the second highest point of Mussoorie. The altitude of the place
is 2024 meters. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Doon Valley from
here.From there go to Camel’s back road. The place offers a
striking view of the Himalayan-mountain ranges.
Next visit Company Garden. The Company
Gardenis a popular tourist attraction in the mountain city of
Mussoorie, located around 3km from the main Mall Road. From there
visit Kempty falls. Located onthe Dehradun-Mussoorie roads, Kempty
Falls is a beautiful water fall surrounded by high mountain cliffs.
It is situated at an altitude of nearly 4500 ft above the sea level.

Day-6,
On
day-6 return back to Deheradun stationor Jolly Grant airport for
departure. Where to stay There are many hotels available in Haridware
and Mussoorie where you can put up for the night. A typical mid-range
hotel in haridware will charge around Rs 1500 to Rs2000 and ahotel in
Musoorie will charge around Rs 2500 to Rs 4000. All these properties
have onlinebooking facilities. For a group of 6 people the total tour
package will cost around Rs 6000 per head from Haridwar to Haridwar.
